1. Getting started with WAVEO

• A TV or streaming device running Android TV, Google TV, or Fire TV, with Android 8.0 or later.
• A remote control with a directional pad and a stable Internet connection.
• A complete M3U URL or valid Xtream credentials supplied by the person responsible for your source.
• Optionally, an XMLTV URL if your TV guide is supplied through a source other than your provider.

1. 01On the official https://www.waveo.tv/ website, select Get WAVEO, then note the Downloader code for the TV version.
2. 02Install and open the Downloader app from your device's app store.
3. 03Enter the code, make sure the official WAVEO download page opens, then download the APK.
4. 04Temporarily allow Downloader to install the APK if Android asks, complete the installation, then revoke that permission.

1. 01Open WAVEO and follow the setup wizard.
2. 02Choose an add method: QR code, Xtream, M3U, or another available option.
3. 03Import your source and allow the process to finish.
4. 04When the import finishes, enter a name for the first profile, choose an avatar, then confirm.
5. 05Next, name the playlist if WAVEO asks you to.
6. 06Once the import is complete, WAVEO opens the TV or VOD area that matches the available content.

• The APK will not install: check the Android version, available storage, and where the file came from.
• The app's welcome page reappears: continue the setup until you have created the profile and imported the source.
• WAVEO closes immediately: restart the device, then note its model, Android version, and WAVEO version if the problem continues.

The recent updates cover Waveo TV 2.2.1 and 2.2.2, Waveo Mobile 2.2.1 and a Companion update. They focus on playback reliability, My Wave integrations, TV Guide navigation, personalization and tablet layouts.

• TV 2.2.1 adds faster recording from the Live TV player and fixes buffering, EPG error 461, passthrough, artwork cropping and Trakt episode tracking. Backups, restores and updates are also faster.
• TV 2.2.2 adds MDBList in My Wave, manual synchronization, recording indicators and stop actions in the TV Guide, smoother integrated EPG navigation, 12 themes, 10 focus selectors, optional player labels, a redesigned VOD subtitle menu, more Stalker information, faster startup and playlist deletion, and Premium authentication improvements.
• Mobile 2.2.1 improves tablet layouts and landscape navigation, lets you browse seasons and episodes from the VOD player, speeds up series screens and refines the TV Guide. Companion improves Premium-code and linked-device management.

1. 01To update Waveo TV, open Settings > App Version > Update, or use the official download page. The TV Downloader code for this release is 2590894.
2. 02To connect MDBList, open Settings > My Wave settings > MDBList. Scan the QR code or open the displayed address, enter the code and authorize the account. Each WAVE profile can use MDBList or Trakt as its VOD integration, not both at the same time.
3. 03To use MDBList, select it as the My Wave VOD integration. From there you can sync now, import older watched movies and episodes, manage your watchlist and lists, and disconnect the service from the same screen. WAVE TV favorites remain separate.
4. 04To show or hide text above player buttons, open the TV or VOD player's advanced options from the player settings and toggle Button descriptions. The same advanced area contains the recording button when the current channel and playlist support recording.
5. 05To customize the new visual options, open Settings > Preferences > Theme or Focus selector. To restore the default remote layout, open Settings > Remote-control mapping and choose Reset.
6. 06To manage recordings, use Record in the compatible Live TV player. In the TV Guide, a recording indicator marks active recordings; open a program's contextual menu to stop one. The VOD player also shows a dedicated overlay when a movie or episode is paused.
